These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Paper Soccer mobile application ("App") developed by Mateusz Krasniewski ("Developer", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 years old in the European Union/European Economic Area) to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
If you are under the age of 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Paper Soccer is a free-to-play digital adaptation of the classic pen-and-paper strategy game. The App provides:
When you first use the App, an anonymous account is automatically created for you. You may choose a username (display name) for your account. No email address or password is required.

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting us. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling upon deletion.
When using the App, you agree not to:
The App, including its design, code, graphics, AI models, game mechanics, and all related content, is the intellectual property of Mateusz Krasniewski and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not:
Online multiplayer is provided on a best-effort basis. We strive to maintain fair matchmaking and a positive gaming environment, but we cannot guarantee a perfect experience.
During online matches, your username and ELO rating are visible to your opponent. Game moves are transmitted in real-time. No direct messaging or chat functionality is provided.
If you abandon an online game (disconnect or leave), the game may be automatically resolved in favor of your opponent after a timeout period. Repeated abandonment may result in temporary restrictions on your account.
The App includes AI opponents powered by on-device machine learning. The AI:
We do not guarantee that the App or its online features will be available at all times. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We may release updates to the App from time to time. Some updates may be required to continue using the App or its online features. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOU USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
If you violate these Terms, we may, at our sole discretion:
You may stop using the App at any time. You may delete your account through the App settings.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimer), 10 (Limitation of Liability), and 13 (Governing Law) survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you are entitled to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law, including the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Poland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
The App is distributed through third-party platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play Store). Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms and conditions. The Developer is not responsible for the policies or practices of these platforms.
The App uses open-source software components. Licenses for these components are available within the App or upon request.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding the App, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
